Love, Love, Love and a Giveaway!

The last giveaway I did was with a group of my blogging friends. A few of us decided to have another one to break up the monotony of winter. More details at the end of this post. For now…..

It was a crazy week and I missed writing. There are some thoughts swirling in my heart and as soon as I can catch them and tame them I will share them. Don’t go far. It will be soon. Promise.

I love giveaways. And I still haven’t worked my crafty self out of the Crappy Chic line or the Shabby Shannon gifts, therefore I am giving away a $25 Amazon Gift Card. This way you can buy something really lovely and not made by me. I hope you don’t mind. I want you to buy yourself some lovely chocolate, pretty nail polish, something for Valentines Day, a longed for cook book, a lovely tote, or some trendy costume jewelry, whatever you choose to get- Please let it be for YOU! You deserve it. Just for coming here and reading my stuff.

Here is all you have to do. Read my short list of things I love until you come to three consecutive things that you love. Name those three things in the comments and you are entered! If you really can’t find three, I will settle for two. If you can’t find two, well, I just don’t know what to do with you. Pretending will be okay.

I am old school. Your name will go in a basket.

Okay, are you ready?

  1. What a lovely list!

(Picnics(I plan to do many this summer!), corn fields(in July + August they become my life-detasseling), the ocean(its so peaceful and calming!))

and all three remind me of summer!

Thank you for writing so beautifully! I excitedly look forward to reading each post!

  2. What a great list! Lots of things I like in there but you asked for 3 consecutive items, and being a good rule follower, here’s my list – “the idea of chickens, a freshly scrubbed sink, shoes, this blog, date night, large and loud family meals.” I found SIX! 😀

    stephaniesmommybrain @gmail.com

    • Yeah! That’s the longest run so far. 6 in a row. So no actual chickens, just the idea of them? I love all things related to coops and chickens in books and online. I haven’t the strong enough desire to actually do anything about other than pin ideas to Pinterest. 🙂 Your lovely name is in the basket!

  3. Only one sequence of three? I found a 3 or 4 sequences that spoke to me, but I will go with the first one: daisies, spinach, You’ve Got Mail movie, Yankee candles. Ok, that was four, but I couldn’t leave one out!

  4. Here are five in a row, but so many more I like on your list.
naps, willow trees, iphone, church, mushrooms. Thanks for the giveaway.

  5. Fun times! “corn fields, the ocean, garage sales” Live in Indiana, travel for the middle option, love all three! :c)

  6. This was hard, sister. Really hard. I’d see two…then I’d be like…but do I LOVE my iphone?? I have had every generation there is..but LOVE? Love..like…its hard to tell difference. Thought I was onto something when I saw crocheting, Ireland..then..hammocks. Hmm…I flipped off a hammock when we were children and broke my tailbone. Since then..love is also attached to fear, so that disqualified it as they are so closely intertwined I can’t tell the difference. In the end, I went with turquoise, pontoon rides and cast iron pans. Now..I’m not sure if you meant the stone turquoise or the color. I dont own any of either. But I’ve loved it from a distance so I’m counting it. Pontoon rides…safe enough…and then cast iron pans. I only use them when camping and right now they are tucked away in my new RV which is sitting at a dealership 60 miles away getting serviced.. I could not go out and look at them and confirm my love for them, So I could be mistaken. None of these three things, that I am aware of, have feelings mixed with other emotions, so I’m going to settle on, I believe I love this sequence of three.
    Mind bender.

  7. Three sequential items that I love from you list? Hmmm …. cardinals (beautiful!), smell of wood burning (as long as I know the source!), and thin crust pizza (or any Chicago pizza – with lots of cheese!)

  8. Oh Shannon! You make this difficult! I couldn’t decide on which consecutive items I like most, so here goes…..almond joy, word searches, popcorn, Wheel of Fortune, Selah, thrift store shopping – AND – Lays Potato chips and dip, naps, willow trees, iphone, church – AND – picnics, corn fields, the ocean, garage sales – AND – essential oils, hugs, lipstick – AND – clickety-clack of good tea cups and saucers, reading tombstones, crossword puzzles, Gain laundry detergent.

  9. What a fun idea for a giveaway, and of course you can’t go wrong with an amazazon gift card! 😉 Thank you for offering the opportunity to win!
I found so many things I love on your list…here’s my pick: Black and white pictures, daisies, and spinach!

  10. cardinals, smell of wood burning, thin crust pizza,

    Crash Bandicoot, books, American History

playing the piano, the idea of chickens, a freshly scrubbed sink,

I found this longer sequence as well….lol wind chimes, covered porches, sound machines, essential oils, hugs, lipstick, Fresca, red couches,

  11. Selah, thrift store shopping, sauerkraut !!

Everytime I’d get two in a row, you’d put in something like NASCAR and ruin it!!!

    • NASCAR doesn’t ruin anything. Remember the thrift store in Destin? I think I wasted money there. 🙂 I added your beautiful and precious name to my basket. I may have kissed the paper too.

  12. Ok, I think I could like your entire list except maybe 5. I won’t tell you the 5 hehe : ) However I will choose the first 5 🙂 black and white pictures, daisies, spinach, You’ve Got Mail movie, Yankee candles. I have enjoyed reading your blog. Keep up the good work.

  13. I love at least 80% of the things you love, but three consecutively are “naps, willow trees, and old hymns”. 🙂 love your blog!
    ~Jenna

    • Have you heard of ‘glamping’? It’s glorified camping- like where we could take lovely black and white photos, put them on our night table, add a vase of daisies and make our tent look precious. You have picked a lovely selection. Thanks for playing! I added your name.

  14. Hmm, I liked LOTS of things, but they weren’t all consecutively listed Lol! So I will go with essential oils (I LOVE doTERRA!!!), and hugs (especially from my hunny and my bestie’s 1yo girl) 🙂 Thank you for the opportunity 🙂

  15. Mmmm what a creative and fun way to do a giveaway! Love it!!! So, at first I saw so many I do love but couldn’t find three together… the following tho’ just goes to prove that ‘to look again can reveal a new perspective’ =)
Hiking, herbs, cookbooks, Chopped tv show, stationary paper sets…
or… Mexican food, McDonald’s french fries, homemade gifts, playing the piano….
or… this blog, date night, large and loud family meals
    and not least….
….ironing, guitars, Michael Buble! 😉 Thanks for the cheery winter fun!

    • I can’t tell you how many times I have looked up information about growing my own mushrooms. Mostly because I cannot afford to eat them like I want to. I wish you success and please come share with me how it goes! Thank you for coming by. Your name is in the basket. And I drew a mushroom by your name. 🙂

  16. homemade gifts, playing the piano, the idea of chickens! Seriously, I laughed out loud when I read that one cause we keep talking like we’re going to get chickens but we still haven’t…it’s almost 5 years already since we moved to the farm :0 So many things on here that I love, too.

  17. Oh my heart… so many more than 3, but these 3 were in a row… tire swings, cardinals, smell of wood burning!!

the idea of chickens… we had chickens for 15 months (and don’t tell my husband, but I miss them)!

  18. stationary paper sets (oh my! I have so many beautiful ones, this reminds me I need to go write some letters!), fingerless gloves (so practical!), Euchre (I married into this game and have to say i am now the reigning champion. well somedays i am)
And I love this creative post!

  19. So many wonderful things to choose from. Since I live in Illinois, I had to start with corn fields, which are everywhere. Corn fields, the ocean, garage sales, are my three in a row. Not in that order. Garage sales would be first, on my list, I love the ocean and want to smell the salt water and feel the sand between my toes. Sounds like Heaven to me. Now, I have to go back and read all of your blogs. They all sound great. Thank you for a fun way to spend my day! God Bless You.

  20. Well, I could name a lot more than three, but here are the first three i saw! tire swings, cardinals, smell of wood burning
